Sing a Song

One Finger, One Thumb

One finger, one thumb, keep moving.
One finger, one thumb, keep moving.
We all stay merry and bright.
One finger, one thumb, one arm, keep moving.
One finger, one thumb, one arm, keep moving.
We all stay merry and bright.
One finger, one thumb, one arm, one leg, keep moving.
One finger, one thumb, one arm, one leg, keep moving.
We all stay merry and bright.
One finger, one thumb, one arm, one leg, stand up, sit down, keep moving.
One finger, one thumb, one arm, one leg, stand up, sit down, keep moving.
We all stay merry and bright.

Sesame Street: Lonely Number 11

Try This

Play I Spy with numbers around the house (the number four on a jersey, three apples in a bowl, etc.). What odd numbers can your child find? What even numbers can your child find? This activity will support your child's literacy development as they learn to recognize symbols (numbers written as numerals) and practice using vocabulary words (odd number and even number as well as the names of household objects).

Read a Book

Here are two book recommendations for today. Check out the picture book collection at your local library, where there are lots of books to choose from! Find nearby libraries

  • 1 Big Salad by Juana Medina
  • Found Dogs by Erica Sirotich
