Let’s Get Fit – Count to 100

Try This

Make a T-shirt with your child. Find 100 stickers, poms poms, and other small items to attach to the shirt. Use paint or even the pom-poms and other small items to spell out a special message on the shirt, like your child's name or the name of their school. As you or your child creates the text for their shirt, point out the letters in each word to increase their alphabet knowledge, which will foster their literacy development. Reading out the entire message and spelling out each letter together will increase their print awareness, which also contributes to literacy development.

Read a Book

Here are two book recommendations for today. Check out the picture book collection at your local library, where there are lots of books to choose from! Find nearby libraries

  • 10 Hungry Rabbits: Counting & Color Concepts for the Very Young by Anita Lobel
  • William's 100th Day of School by Lisa Bullard; illustrated by Mike Byrne
