March 25

Sing a Song

A Chubby Little Snowman

A chubby little snowman
(Hold your arms to make a fat belly)
Had a carrot for a nose.
(Point your forefinger out from your nose)
Along came a bunny.
(Make a bunny with your fingers. Make it hop.)
And what do you suppose?
(Turn palms upward and shrug in disbelief.)
That hungry little bunny (Rub your tummy.)
Looking for his lunch.
(Shade your eyes and look into the distance.)
Ate that snowman’s nose.
(Make a bunny with one hand and a carrot with the other.)
Nibble, nibble CRUNCH!

Try This

The theme for March is SEASONS. Talk about how some animals migrate south for the winter. Explain south by showing your child on a map or globe. Talking about these simple science concepts helps your child stay curious about their world and helps them develop an interest in STEM.

Read a Book

Here are two book recommendations for today. Check out the picture book collection at your local library, where there are lots of books to choose from! Find nearby libraries

  • Blizzard by John Rocco
  • The Most Perfect Snowman by Chris Britt
