March 14

Sing a Song

If you're Swimming and you Know It
(Tune:“If you’re Happy and you Know It”)

If you're Swimming and you Know it, splash your hands
If you're Swimming and you Know it, splash your hands
If you're Swimming and you Know It, then you really want to show it,
If you're Swimming and you Know it, splash your hands
Continue with the rest of these lyrics!
Kick your Feet
Put one ear in the water
Put the other ear in the water
Blow some bubbles
Put your face in the water
Shout Hurray!

Teaching Jimmy to Swim

Try This

The theme for March is SEASONS. Everyone loves to swim in the summertime! If you do not have a pool, you can buy an inexpensive kiddie pool and splash around in your backyard. You can even fill it up with other items to sort or play around in (for example, make a ball pit!) Or you and your child could get creative and use the bathtub as a fun alternative to an outdoor swimming pool!

Read a Book

Here are two book recommendations for today. Check out the picture book collection at your local library, where there are lots of books to choose from! Find nearby libraries

  • Leo Can Swim by Anna McQuinn
  • Splish, Splash, Splat!  by Rob Scotton
