Five Little Mice

Five little mice came out to play (Hold up five fingers.)

Gathering crumbs along the way.

Out came a kitty cat sleek and fat. (Use other hand to represent cat.)

Four little mice go scamerping back!  (Run hand behind back.)

Repeat this until you have zero mice left.

Print out pictures of all the food in the book Lunch by Denise Fleming.  As you read this book your child can pick out each type of food that the mouse is eating for lunch.  Talk about the different types of food and how they would taste.  Do they have seeds?  What colors are they?  Enjoy a healthy snack after reading this yummy book!
