Sing a Song

Painting Fun
(Tune: "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star")

I know the colors for painting fun,
Green like grass and yellow sun,
An orange pumpkin and white snow,
A red rose and a black crow,
Blue like a mailbox, brown like an ape,
A pink pig and some purple grapes.

Make your own watercolors – SciShow Kids

Try This

Get a cup of water and a paintbrush. Let your child “paint” on the sidewalk using the water, and watch it evaporate. Explain the water seems disappear as it gets warmer because the sun is turning it into a gas, which we can't see.

Read a Book

Here are two book recommendations for today. Check out the picture book collection at your local library, where there are lots of books to choose from! Find nearby libraries

  • Louise Loves Art by Kelly Light
  • Maybe Something Beautiful by F. Isabel Campoy & Theresa Howell; illustrated by Rafael López
